2000 - Canada

My dad saved lots of money and send me study oversea in Canada. I only end up with Tourism Management Diploma at the end :( He bought me a guitar to fill my time before I leave. It was a classical guitar Yamaha. I dont go to guitar class, so i pick up my playing from friends.

To begin with I dont fancy of playing music, never thought of it. I was 20 when i start to play music due to happen to be living in a place with no TV or entertainment media.

I met mr Eric Holmes. A local in Kimberly, BC. I learn tht jamming music with another person is fun I started to understand the definition of "joy" in playing music.

Soon after I move out from small town to big town and my new neighbour upstair, play blues. His name is Ian Mcdonald- a succesful man, with high income, wife and three kids. I learnt my favourite blues chord here, from Ian. I started to went out to local music venues. Somehow met mr Doosie and wants me to join in for his album release. For the very first time I did recording session. The album titled: "Mr Doosie and the Rip Roaring Doopers". After a good year playing music under him, Mr doosie went away for long sailing trip.

I start to write my own songs and attend open mics in the city, almost scored every open mic. Met mr. Paul Forest and Aqy Baba.  They are legit oldskool, and organizes shows in the city. They are wise gentlemen, had been around and always give me advise, tips & knowledge of music and life. I respect them forever- my mentor. My family.

Things do get really rough. I stuck busking every summer time in the streets of Calgary. My favourite is the 7th Avenue, close by downtown. It is fun most of the time especially when others musician joined in to split the fun or cash. At few times it wasn't; forcing myself to play because of hungry for a sandwich, or playing for a very drunk person tht is gving hard time.

The interest in music expand and i met friends that share the same passion. We unite tht passsion in the "house behind karma"- This is where jemming overload at daily dosage hits me hard. So much exploration to the ultimate. It was epic and madness. The house is located behind a live music venue called Karma Cafe. We call it "House Behind Karma"

The house was taken by the owner due to unfortunate circumstances. We were good tenant, but the city wants the property to develop the whole area. So we have moved out. We all went separate ways.

I met a Japanese girl, Mana. She came from a small town, and her dad worked in paddy field. She plays music and have her own band in Japan called "the Nudies" Other than music she involves a lot in greepeace movement. She taught me more than just music. I am fascinate with her idea. The idea of being organic and supporting peace movement.

After almost six years living in Canada its time to come back home. My family is afraid i might not want to come back anymore.  I did intense research on the internet, got really excited with these findings going back home to learn more about whats going on with the  local music scene in Malaysia. Wish I could find the same energy as before, the same people.

2006 - Malaysia

Felt the same as Canada, and I found the energy I was looking for. I kind of want to say that us musician here in Malaysia have more opportunities compares to Canada. The reason behind this might be because the country is smaller, and our level of communication technology is higher i suppose.

Went to 'Just Jam' music studio for the start at seksyen 14, Petaling Jaya in 2007. There i met JAJA, the owner. Music wise, we sync. He played drums for me for couple of years. Then later on joined the band Hujan.

Recruit no band member since then, and been moving as a solo singer songwriter.

Along the journey, I met other talents and had shaped the music scene in Malaysia and - i am glad they did. Like Yuna & Noh Hujan,Watched them start from the very bottom and now on top, till they went international. I also met talents that didnt turn up they way they should. Might be the factor of time, or commitments.  Whatever reason it is, i hope they still celebrating art.

Been playing original songs in most Venues in Kuala Lumpur & Lembah Klang area. I got tired after years playing my own stuffs, felt like to merge new ideas. Managed to did a song "Selamat Malam" with the rap band SSK. The bandmember DJ Jocular hooked me up. The song is out on their album 'Bintang Rap Tanah Melayu'.

2012- still in Malaysia

Accidentally managed a travelling Japanese band called "Manayohei Gypsy Band". Scored them gigs in around town and appears in local TV station, Nasi Lemak Kopi o . The band is on their way to travel the world playing music. The busks in jln Alor Bukit Bintang area. Met them. Jemm with them and show them good times.

Got a called from Amylea Azizan one day asking me to join in her project band. She was the 2nd runner up when Mawi won number one for Akademi Fantasia. Now, she produce songs for a production team provide TV drama for Astro. She create a band called Roman- consist of me, Farouk Abdul Razak, and Nasnoor. Did three songs with them. My involvement with this is positive, giving me insight about what's going on in the industry.

A friend Rest in Peace. I met Izaat Amir whom invite me to join his band "The Common Project" We only did one show at the Laundry Bar, in Mutiara Damansara. Beside the project band, he also records on my original songs. I am happy to release the songs under him because he has his own original thing. He is well known playing for Liyana Fizi, and Asmidar. Other than tht, he helped other producers doing recordings for many artists. Some of his guitar licks is still heard on the radio. You wont know him, even more, he passed away due to car accidents in Johor Bharu. Rest in peace brother.

2015 -

Did few more projects with other artists and bands, and then later back again focus on own interest.  I started busking again.

On of those days, by random pick, somehow instict tells me to play in a cafe in Kelana Jaya called Kedai Sebelah. Felt like I can try 'pau' air dan makan The place is located beside Kedai art gallery doing custom wood furniture. The did never repeat products. A concept that i dig very much. The owner is Rizal. Beside the art gallery is the cafe. The cafe manager Afiq Iqbal suggest me to do a regular showcase. We talk more and somehow agreed to make it a weekly singer songwriter showcase. The first showcase turns out well. We have "Bil Musa" showcase and the place is packed- no seats. Soon after weeks by weeks, it starts to becoming a hub for most songwriters.  Discovered many new ocal talents, mostly underrated when I first saw like: Jaggfuzzbeats, Chedet, Lukarts, Ilyahida Ismail.

After half  a year did this in Kedai Sebelah, I try to brach out. I managed to cover a place in Kota Damansara and also Uptown Damansara; Mayford 77 & Minut Init art gallery. But one person alone to handle all thsi is pening kepala.

Met mr Endee Ahmad, a local singer songwriter. He is a new emerging artist from Miri, Sarawak. Came out with the slogan "FTP" means Feel Tu Penting. I myself got hooked with the idea and we both plan to create a brand name "FTP" without any direction or purpose, but just a place to be. Just at the right time. "one person alone to handle all this is pening kepala"
